How time flies

 I started my company in 1999.  I can’t believe it’s been 10 years ago.  My name is Becky Martinez and I am the owner of The Mane Event.  I am proud to say I am 45 years old and I play as hard as I work…which means I am a very happy person.  I love the outdoors.  My favorite time is to take walks with my husband, hold hands and talk.

My husband, Mike and I have been married 18 years (whew).  Mike is patient, loving, funny, strong and supportive.  We have one child and his name is Michael – almost 16 years old and “knows everything”, he will be a sophomore in high school this fall.  We live in Monroe, Washington and we all enjoy fishing, trail riding on horses, dirt bikes or 4-wheelers, skiing, snowboarding and snorkeling.  We love watching our son grow into a fine young man that we love very much and are extremely proud of.

From the beginning and still today our goal is to be proud of our products produced and provide the highest quality that is affordable, classy, innovative and creative.

In between being a wife and mother I travel to about 20 horse shows every year.  We are a mobile unit and hear first hand what exhibitors want, need, and don’t like. This definitely enables us to “see into the future” for new and or improved products.  I have traveled to horse shows throughout Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Utah and for the past 3 years I now only travel to shows that are within a 2-hour drive from home.

For 10 years strong we sponsor many awards for the local horse shows which include Quarter Horses, Paints, Pintos, Arabians, Morgans and 4-H.   We believe in giving back to our community plus contribute time and resources for our youth school programs.

We are proud to be recognized in the industry as the leading supplier of “Show Number Accessories” which began with the “original Magnetic Number Holders” (MagNums), Blanket Number Pins, Number Clips, Number Pins which can be beautifully coordinated with our matching silver concho chokers, earrings, replacement chap concho’s and saddle pad trim.

As we continue to introduce new products, were focused, as ever to deliver the highest quality and excellent customer service that is the heart and soul of our business.  Our mission is to keep the balance of superior customer service and affordable prices has kept us at the very top of our industry.
